Rapeseed oil can be found in many kitchens today and used a lot in cooking. Vegetable oil ages more quickly than mineral oil and should therefore be stored for no longer than nine months in a dark environment and protected against the ingress of dirt and water.
Oil tanks in industry are mainly used for storing oils so that they can then undergo further processing. These oils aren’t always fuel; they can also be oils for the food and cosmetics industries. For example, palm oil is a popular oil for cosmetics and is obtained from pulp of the fruit of oil palms. Before it’s processed, it’s stored in large oil tanks.

Fragen zu Öltanks aus Stahl
Ein hochwertiger Stahltank kann je nach Wartung und Betrieb 30 bis 40 Jahre oder länger genutzt werden. Wichtig sind eine regelmäßige Tankreinigung und Kontrolle durch den Fachbetrieb.
Wegen möglicher Umweltgefahren ist nur eine gründliche Reinigung durch einen Fachbetrieb mit speziellen Absaug- und Spülverfahren zulässig.
Für größere Fassungsvermögen und industrielle Anwendungen ist der Stahltank klar vorzuziehen. Er ist langlebiger, unempfindlicher gegenüber Temperaturschwankungen und bietet eine zuverlässige Geruchsbarriere. Kunststofftanks sind dagegen leichter und oft für den privaten Heizöl-Bedarf geeignet.
Beim Stilllegen oder Entsorgen wird der Tank zunächst vollständig entleert, gereinigt und nach den Vorgaben des Wasserhaushaltsgesetzes (WHG) fachgerecht entfernt.
